Fletcher Mathers

Fletcher works as Limelight Music’s programme director, writing, creating and delivering projects with the team.

Fletcher trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (Royal Conservatoire Scotland) and since then has worked in theatres all over the UK. She is currently one of National Theatre of Scotland resident actors. Her previous work with the National Theatre of Scotland includes The Duchess of Malfi, First Snow/Premiere Neige, The 306: Day, To Begin…. in Wigtown and Forres and most recently Medea. Her other theatre work includes Hamlet (Citizens, Glasgow), Death and the Maiden, Macbeth (Mull Theatre), Whisky Galore (Perth Theatre/The Lyceum Edinburgh) and Girlfriends (Oldham Coliseum /Playhouse Theatre, London). She has co-written five pantomimes for the Tron Theatre, Glasgow and has appeared in numerous television programmes. She most recently performed in National Theatre of Scotland’s Medea which was a part of the Edinburgh International Festival.

Fletcher has been the on-train announcer for all Scotrail trains for over 17 years. She is a founding member of the Scots language theatre company Braw Clan, which just toured their first production Secrets Wrapped in Lead.
